In today’s blog, I’d like to share five of my favourite apps with you that I use whenever I am abroad. I found these apps on google and I used them or currently using them in my day to day life. You may also be familiar with one, if not all of them.
NB. The pictures below were taken from Google and I do not claim ownership for any of them.
This is a travel planner in an app form. It organizes all your itineraries in one place. As long as the email confirmation for your trip is linked to the same email that you use to sign up for the app, it will show up in the app. If you have no data connection, you can still access the itinerary. It is Free 99 but you can sign up for the Pro to get more features.
We are all familiar with Airbnb. I can bet many of you didn’t know it stands for “air mattress bed and breakfast”. It is an online marketplace that allows people to rent properties/rooms for their vacation and getaway.
I’ve only been to the United States so I can only speak about getting around using Uber. It is a taxi company where passengers request rides using the app, inputting pick-up and drop-off locations, and all payment is done through a pre-authorized debit/credit card right through the app.
There are so many apps that you can download to book hotels and rent cars but I’ve chosen booking.com. There is no specific reason as to why I chose them either. I’ve had it downloaded on my phone for a while and I have been using it.
When you hear the word map, you think directions and you’re absolutely correct. Nothing is wrong with getting lost because I get to see and experience other places but sometimes I want to be on the safe side. I’m always using google maps to find places or to see how long the journey will be to a location.
What are some of the apps you use while travelling? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you for reading and I will see you tomorrow! ‘Tis the season to be jolly …
